How did you get involved with PNS?

I attended the Young Parents programme at Rathbone, PNS came in to deliver the Development Award and I took part in this. I wanted to be a part of this course from the moment I heard about it, I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn and develop as a parent.

How was your journey?

My journey with PNS was life changing. It brought me out of my shell, helped me in so many ways with being a new parent, and helped me as a person to develop. PNS are a wonderful organisation and have given me so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have had if I hadn’t been involved with them.

Is there anything that stands out?

The content of the courses that are delivered stand out for me. The tools you learn and what you develop while you’re taking part is amazing. Also the opportunities to go to Parliament and take part in events that could potentially change things for other families in the future has been an amazing experience.

How did PNS help with your development?

PNS helped me develop as a parent, learning and understanding things from a different perspective. I use the tools that I learned at PNS in my everyday life and this benefits me and my daughter in many ways.

What are you going on to do?

I have started a new job as a Support for Learning Teacher in a secondary school.
