Recharge your batteries
Parents are not endless reservoirs of energy. In order to keep giving out love, care and attention we need to get some back for ourselves. Being adults, the responsibility for that lies firmly with ourselves.
The more we look after ourselves the better and happier we feel, and then we will feel happier with our children.
We deserve what they deserve
Everything that we believe our children and loved ones deserve, we also deserve.
How you treat yourself sets an example for how your children will treat themselves and you.
"The best thing is finding out that there is no perfect parent."
"I give myself - and my kids - an easier time because I've realised that the "perfect family" I was imagining doesn't exist".
